Mô tả
Tóm tắt:“A study of tourist advertisements in english and vietnamese translation equivalents” is a study of how Tourism Advertisement are structured and what discourse features are used in these advertisements. This thesis was guided and strongly and constantly supported by my supervisor, Ph.D Nguyen Dang Suu as well as our collegues and family. It aims at finding out and analyzing the features of English and Vietnamsee tourist advertisements in terms of cohesive devices and to some extent help advertisersand translators improve the effective way of writing and translating English and Vietnamsese advertisements. Furthermore, it help Vietnamese translators find out and analyze the features of English and Vietnamsee tourist advertisements in terms of cohesive devices and to some extent help advertisers and translators improve the effective way of writing and translating English and Vietnamsese advertisements. The thesis only focuses on some typical discourse features in terms of layout, lexical features, cohesive and stylistic devices in tourism advertisements. However, due to the restriction of media, all English Tourism Advertisementare downloaded from websites of travel agencies instead of approaching real ones as those in Vietnamese and the lack of time, references, as well as limited linguistic knowledge, the study can only examine some certain characteristics of English Tourism Advertisementa, therefore it has notreached the expected depth as it should.
